Is anything wrong with this Mandarin?

I posted on the disease forum but I always get quicker answers from this board, sorry about the duplicate posts. I am worried about this fish. I thought that he was just getting fat but I think that he looks sick. I'd say that he has been this way for a couple of weeks. He is not a fish that I will see every day so I am not sure. Any thoughts?:(

Skinny? That is the fattest manderin that I have ever seen. Maybe some garlic would help fight any infection that may be stting in but I really do not know.

maybe skinny but other than that look fine...they are pod lovers...how is your pod population?

I think he is skinny. If he ever grew to match the size of his head, he'd be a whale, not a mandarin. Needs more pods I think.

This mandarin is a lot fatter than a couple of weeks ago. I've had her for about 2 yrs., the tank is almost 3 yrs old. I do have a refugium that is only a couple of months old with lots and lots of amphipods. I recently removed a filter pad that I had in my sump which also housed amphipods. I don't think the problem is lack of food. Terry B.'s reponse in the disease forum was that she could be full of eggs but also may have HLLE disease.(?) I will need to research that. Compared to other pictures that I've seen this mandarin is fat. The area around the eyes is especially disturbing to me. It is hard to tell by the pic but it looks like swollen flesh.
