Depends on the type of filtration you use. If you use a overflow box there should be no problem, if you do not use a overflow filter then add a HOB, floss only.

I recently removed wallpaper of a bathroom in my house which created a lot of dust. On my 55 gallon with a overflow box, the dust creates a thin film on the surface but it falls in the overflow box which gets ridd of the dust film. On the other tank I only have a HOV, the dust sits on the surface of the water creating a film hard to get ridd off.

Is there a certain type of dust you are refering to or worried about? Isn't most household dust dead skin or something?:notsure:
Basically, is there something about this area you feel would add more dust than any other room, or is there a certain element about the room that creeates more dust than usual?
Can you just sweep the floor really good and cleanup beforehand, and the room will just collect dust like any other room, or is there something that "causes" more dust than normal.....know what I mean?:)

not really i guess im just being paranoid. it will be in the unfinished basement with all of the ugly beams and supports which esthetically in my mind looks like more dust will fall i guess.so no more dust will fall in the basement that anywhere else?
youve been a good help
