Is ick more visible under actinics?

Just bought a new fish. Inspected him closely at lfs, and didn't see any ick. I also didn't notice any ick on him with my MH on. But with just my actinic lights on he has white spots on him. Maybe it's just a bit of sand and I'm overreacting. But anyways, does anyone know if ick shows up more under actinics? Thanks!

I would say that it does show up better under actinic although the color of the fish will also play a role in this. Keep a close eye on it - good luck
