Is it just me or,....

I haven't been on nearly as much the past couple of months; career change + stepdaughter wedding (last Sat) has taken a LOT of time away. Things for me should settle back down to near normal now.
I once get fed up with lack of posts:

Hmm...just noticed that post was roughly the same time of year, perhaps the season does play a part....

I am by no means a popular member of the site. But I do log on almost every day. M-F at least. I come here to read and research (okay I am a lurker). I do comment here and there but nothing crazy. I only have kept SW tanks for a couple of years and I don't want to be one of those people who researched yesterday and is giving advice on the same thing today without really experiencing it. I take advice different from members who have been here for a long time vs some one who joined in 2012 with their first tank. For some reason their advice just seems hollow and with out any substance. Is that just me??
But at least it is more folks on the forums so I can not complain too much.
I think the time of year does have a lot to do with it. The IT stuff seams like it was more a while back then it being a current issue. When I first joined in 2010 there was a big update and a ton of folks dropped the site. The last update did not seem to effect membership.
I think Finding Nemo II should bring a lot more members!!!
j/k there is no Finding Nemo II in the works. At least no plans that I have heard. lolz!!

I'm a long-term troll, so don't feel bad about popularity.

Good to know I have company.
Also, it seems that there are daytime members and nighttime members. Some are both and some night or day only.
My job has a lot of down time and allows me to do some reading during the day. I have two small kids and not a lot of time at night to get on the forums. A random Saturday night in April might not be the best time to judge activity on the boards.

As you can see, there is definitely a bit of a lull...then again, we currently have <100 members, altho we seem to be tracking about the same as other sites, more or less. Being an engineer, I like to peek at the stats fairly often. Besides active members, we get a fair amount of guest traffic, so that boosts our page view stats a bit. Oddly, our "most online" record occurred in one of the slower months...

Hey Saxman,
I tried to join your site a few months ago. But there was an issue. For the life of me I can not remember what the issue was, but after three attempts I stopped.
I will try again though!!!
