Trying to fit in? I dont think so, I havent had problems. Are you not having posts answered? I have noticed that there are peaks in when posts get answered. Like usually I dont get nearly as much response during the week, as I'm sure people are working. What are you having problems with that makes you feel like your not fitting in?

gotta remember, the writen word is a lot different from the spoken word. so what may be sarcasm or joking can be taken as "flaming" based on how someone reads.
there's also always going to be ways of thinking that people will fall into. from what i've found though in the year i've been on this board, the people here are 100% friendlier than other forums. there's some times a poster that comes to start problems, and eventually leaves or is banned, but everyone is entitled to opinions. problem happens when those opinions don't agree with most of the people on the board and it's hard for people to change their minds.
as long as you agree that tangs shouldn't be in anything less than an ocean, mandarins in nothing less than a 75g with tons of pods and mature rock with a refugium, and treating ich with nothing other than hypo, you'll fit in fine

A forum is a group made up of individuals. In order to be a part of a forum, you must participate, you have to put yourself out there, a forum isn't a place to sit back and wait for people to come to you.
Like in real life, those that are more familiar with each other are more likely to have a rapport but it is in your hands whether or not you want to make yourself familiar on the boards.

Very true..^^ take everything with a grain of salt. That seems like a good motto to adhere to. There are extreme follow the book people here there are the

rule breakers and then there are the people that take the middle of the road. From what i have seen in the few short months on these forums, basically everyone is here to help you. There are just alot of varied opionions.

Im running out to buy a power head, heater and a new bag of salt....as I think im going to go right through the box of salt I have, keeping my LR healthy from tomorrow till sunday when I set up my tank.
Im sorry if I gave a bad impression to any of you. Just been feeling a little down lately....turning 42 in a couple of weeks is wreaking havoc on my spirit.... lol

it accually takes us 40 mins to drive to narragansette beach...LOL, I grew up in pa/ohio...on the border. so RI is a big change, Ive been here for 23 yrs now...so im used to it

I find that this is a very friendly and welcoming board. With that said however, there will always be a few that try to ruffle some feathers and cause a ruckus. We try to stop that before it begins, but we do not always catch it right away.
