IMHO it is a fine time to add more LR. You are in the middle of your initial cycle and you may see another minicycle from any 'die off' on the new rock. However, better now that when you have fish/inverts already there.

Agreed. Make sure your ammonia and nitrites stay low during the cycle. Doing small water changes may be necessary to keep the ammonia down.

I am going to agree with my young college here for the most part. I personally like to have my ammonia and nitrites stay high while I am starting the bio-filtration cycle. The more there is to convert the more necessary bacteria for conversion you establish. This gives you a buffer against spikes when you introduce your fist fish

...I got my live rock from the LFS, I handpicked each piece. I added rock all the time, very slow because of the expense. Even way after I had fish already, and I never had a problem.
However if you order online, the rock would not be cycled and that would make a difference. JMO

When I added more live rock to my 225G...after initial cycle....I ordered online....when I got the rock, I put it in a tote with SW, a heater and a powerhead.....checked the levels, cleaned out the die-off, did water changes, and when the levels in the tote were ok, I added the rock
Never had an issue
