Puffers are known to eat snails and/or shrimp. I'd avoid putting another puffer in there as well.

looks like i may have to take the puffer back anyways. he picks on the yellow tang and my clown. do you think the porcupine puffer will be less aggressive towards my fish then the valetini that i have now?

A valentini puffer picking on a yellow tang? You sure about that? Depending on the size of our tank, you could put a porky puffer in there. But watch out for power heads because they are slow swimmers and will get stuck in the uptake.

found valetini after my tang again this morning. was thinking about trading my puffer in for a porcupine puffer to see if they would get along instead.

I've had a porky before. They are really cool fish! Mine didnt bother my yellow tang or clownfish. However he did eat a couple snails. But other than that he was a really good fish. But they do grow really fast so watch out.
