i still need to buy a good marine aquarium book i have put off doing so cause im a kid and my parents dont really encourage this hoby to much
so i have been trying to do every bit of research on the web but it is hard cause of pop ups and every site trying to sell me something

there are 2 types of overflows. ones the are built into the tank. this is what you want. then there is what I have.... and external overflow. it's basicaly two boxes with a siphon tube. one box goes in the tank and the water overflows into this box. the other hangs of the back/side of the tank and the water siphon the box in the tank the the box hanging of the tank and then down a hose to your sump! the problem with this one is if the siphon breaks you have a mess!!!!

its still really ahrd to figure out what to build or how to build or even what u guys are tlaking about becuase u really have to see the plans for one to be able to know how to build it
