about 2 months ago i looked at my tank and saw it was VERY milky/cloudy colored....all the water conditions were ideal and i never could figure out what caused it.....
today my wife was home all day and around noon saw my plate coral (fungia) squirting out milky/smoky looking fluid causing the tank to cloud up again....she grabbed the video camera and captured ~45 minutes of the fungia squirting ~15 times.
could this be sperm????
if not what else could it be???
sorry for the crappy pics but it was with the video camera

Could be a mucus, not sure about plate corals but I thought that they could drop sections of themselves to repropogate by dissolving parts of there skeletons. Correct me if I'm wrong and anyone really thinks that its releasing gamates into the water column.

it could be mucus......i also see a few post where little baby fungias started to grow on a dead part of the mother..... but what makes me think its sperm is in the green coral book (cant remember the title) you know the one with the picture of the green hammer coral on the front...has a picture of a fungia releasing sperm....ill scan the picture and post it tonight
