Is my clown sick?

I have a false perc that is staying in one corner at the top of the tank just swimming in place against the current. His tail appears to look a little discolored (lighter, like someone bleached it). Other fish appear to be fine and swimming happilly. This is the first day that i have seen him preform this behavior.

PS i would post a pic but i can not get a pic that it can be clearly seen in.

I baught the tank off of someone who had it setup for six months. The fish and the tank have been setup in my possesion for 3 weeks. The tank is 55 gallons, with a sump type filtration. My pH is 8.4 my nitrites are 0, nitrates 0, and ammonia is 0
