I just switched my 30 gallon freshwater tank to saltwater...so I took 30 gallons of water from my established 80 gal sw tank...and put it in the 30 gallon tank...I have a marinelans c-160 canister filter and I have not used it in a while so I'm a bit confused...
my main question is.. is the filter running i know this sounds silly but if someone could help that would be great. this is the filter where there is a pump to get it started and it has 2 tubes one for the intake and one for the return...I clearly see water coming out of the return does this mean the filter is working ? I put my hand by the intake and didn;t feel any pull thats why i'm having doubts..there are no fish or any living things in the tank i'm just trying to set it up and have a running filter I have a power head in it and some sand not much maybe a half inch sb. if any1 has this filter or can help that would be awesome
