I just looked in my tank and behind the rock it looks like i have another cleaner shrimp, could it be that my other just shed? If so should i take his old shedding out?

It's a shed. I leave mine be. Some people say to take them out, but there's no flesh in there to rot.

The appropriate term is molt...just a little factoid for ya

But it is likely a molt. I can't count the number of times I've cheered because my pistol shrimp died...only to find that he just threw his exoskeleton...sad day.
In any case, I leave mine there unless they get sucked into something. I haven't personally had any issues with leaving mine in.
Sorry to disappoint you. Oh well, you can't have two cleaner shrimps anyway...

WHAT! I have 2 in my tank and they molt regularly. Never had a problem with them. They seem to get along well together.

Can you keep two different kind of shrimp? I really want a blood shrimp, almost got one but I bocked at the price.

In the home aquarium, these shrimp not only are a blast to watch, but will also provide cleaning services for their fellow aquarium inhabitants. This can be very helpful in preventing diseases like Ick. The Cleaner Shrimp will also clean your hand when you place it into the aquarium. They are always hungry and love to be fed. They are very peaceful and more than one can be kept in a tank.

thank you for correcting me. I'm from a fishing town in Maine so I'm used to being around lobsters that "shed" :) I was told by a lobster men that i should keep the shed in my tank because (at least with lobsters) they tend to eat their shed and that helps them become stronger. I'm not sure if its the same, but decided to keep it in there. My cleaner looks so much more vibrant now that he's "molted"!

they have plenty of wrong info in their descriptions. they are USUALLY peaceful to each other especially when paired or added at the same time. if you have one established and add another their is no garauntee they will get along. Been there, done that. new cleaner got chased on site from the established cleaner. use to even have video of it cause it happened daily.

isn't that true with any living thing you add to your tank? There is always a chance that they wont get along. It's up to them really
