I just got a Yellow Tang on Sat. He has looked fine and very healthy. He has acclimated to his new tank very well and has seemed happy. This morning around 5 am I turned on the lights to the aquarium before I left for work and he had a big blackish spot internally in his mid section. I kinda freaked out and put him in my QT. Once the lights were on for a bit it seemed to go away. He seemed very sluggish, but I know I just woke him up. Most fish will act sluggish when they are woken up. My husband had the lights out in the room of the QT and the QT does not have any lights working either (getting some today) and when he turned the lights on to check on him the spot was back. It disappeared again after a while though. Is this normal? Is the black spot a reaction to the dark lighting? I would hate to think I just put my fish in a QT and new environment for nothing.
