I have some questions about my anemones. I purchased a haddoni carpet anemone and a rock anemone a few days ago. They seemed to do fine at first. The rock anemone attached underneath the edge of a rock. After the third night, he opened up alot and turned the rock over completely knocking it to the sand. Replaced the rock where it was, he then pushed through towards the back and has stayed there. The carpet looked sad when first arrived, but read this is normal. It finally opened up very big. Someone told us to have off time on the lights, so we turned them off the first night. Next morning he was a little shriveled, but came back out after a hour or so. Mid-afternoon he shriveled up and the mouth was open. He then went back to normal. Process has occured several times. Tried to feed, but didn't eat. Will try to post pics. We think we need more light. Going to try to get more tomorrow. Please, any help would be much appreciated. We spent more money than I wanted on the carpet, and don't want him to die. He is very pretty when fully open. The 1st pic should be after he first opened up. Then when we tried to feed him. Thought he was going after food, but don't know now. The last pic was after he got to the sand. Now he has almost crawled completely behind the rock. He has detached yet though. Good sign?
