is there an alternative to live sand?

hey guys. ive been using the crushed coral in my tank for about the last year and a half but lately ive been wanting something more realistic. The live sand is insanely expensive. I was wondering if any of you knew a safe and cheap alternative so i could have a fine grain substrate like the live sands

use dry aragonite. google seafloor special grade reef sand, 40 lbs for 31.99 or aragamax sand. 30 lbs for 22.99 you get double the amount of sand for the money. then just put some of your cc in a mesh bags or panty hose, and lay it in your tank for a while. it will turn your dry sand live.

nah i didnt kniow if there was like a play sand or any other type i could get around here in bulk that would work
