That if you destroy a majano by ripping it apart, that could make them spread more?? Just wondering becuase I had alot of majano's in my old tank and I'm trying to destroy them as they pop up in the new tank (weed control, as I call it). I've tried Joe's Juice and it worked only so-so in my old tank, so now what I do is I have a needle on the end of a long stick and I go along and rip them apart with it. It works pretty good because I can jab it down into their little holes they disappear into, but someone mentioned that they thought that could spread them more. So anyone that knows THE TRUTH let's hear from you.

Yes it's true. So don't rip the off.. lemon juice works, as does making a paste with kalkwasser, or boiling water.

I have had aipstasia spread from pieces , but never have had any majano spread. They can be tough to pull out depending on what kind of rock and how porous it is, but of the ones I removed so far, even on the place where it originally wsa it never started to grow again......
Just get a syringe and fill with lemon juice, inject about .01 to .02 of the lemon juice in to the stalk as close to the base as possible. If it gets back into the hole, just stick needled down inrto hole and juke it around and squirt sopme juice. The amount of lemon juice your usuing is not enough to create problems with parameters of your water......Oh, I have never used lemon juice for majano, but have used it for aipstasia
