Is there anything wrong with my GReen long tenacle?

My green long tenacle that I got on about 3 days ago has stayed where i put it. I have a 55 gallon tank and 260 watts of light. The tenacle's look great at night with the light off. but during the day the tenacle's are out but they are curled back some. why is this. is it because it isn't use to my tank or is something wrong with it or what?

i think the long tentacle anemones tentacles curl up naturally like rose bubble anemones have bubbles in them. ive seen alot of LTA's with the curly tentacle, nothing to be worried about

three days is probably too early to tell since it might still be acclimatising. Keep a watch on it though since it could also be an indicator that something may not be right. Difficult to tell though. Has the LTA started to dig its column into the sand? Hows the mouth looking? Heres a picture of my LTA that I have had for the last 5 months. You'll notice his column is underneath the substrate. Also building a little rock enclosure helped it a lot since it was able to balance itself with the support of the rocks and force itself into the substrate.

i have its base in the middle of a rock. it has a part that has a dip in it. so i put it in the middle of the rock. should i put the base of it on the sand or leave it on the rock. it looks great at night with my moonlight. but the tenacles curl back during the day. do u think it is dying or what should i do?

If the LTA is already on the rock for some reason I would leave it there. Else if its on the sand, its the more preferred location as it likes to dig its base in the sand. Dont move the LTA about too much, it will stress it. If its on the sand and just lies there, I would build a 2 inch rock wall around it. Again this is not necessary but if you find that it has trouble staying up straight and is being jostled by the current then it might not be a bad idea to surround it by small rocks. How deep is the gravel/sand?
