is there such a thing as a good, "relatively" guiet skimmer???

Hi all...
My old skimmer is just tooo noisy. I know they arent ever quiet, and I dont want a sump, so are there any new, good, relatively quite skimmers on the market?? I havent researched skimmers for 4 years or so, so I dont know what the new innovations are
