I don't know if people soak their flake in garlic but I wouldn't do it for more than a few minutes with flake. If they are eating fine I wouldn't soak at all. If you want you can make your own food and add it to that if you are medicating with garlic.

I make my garlic juice, I just get some fresh garlic and squeeze all the juice out.

Best method for sure. Bottled kind like Garlic Extreme is not the same. It is good to help the appetite, but NOT the immune system.
I soak everyother day of feeding.
