Well at first it sounded pretty wierd I looked it up and its an ODYSSEA with one metal halide in the very middle of the fixture, PC on the sides and personally I could care less about moonlights.
I don't feel that this will give you very good lighting coverage. On a 4 foot long tank you should have, IMO, two MH bulbs for total coverage, but thats up to you. Also any VHO or PC should be at least 46.5 inches if not 48 inches long.
Does your tank have a middle brace installed? Might want to think about that before getting this fixture.
Up to you but this is not a fixture that I would consider for a reef tank.

Yes, I am just not sure what to get for this tank. I am doing FOWLR for a bit and later will add corals and such. I am new so I want to take it slow.
I have a canopy on top of my oceanic tank. I am not sure about the center brace thing...how does that affect the lighting?
thanks for the help

The center brace if there is one could block some of the lighting, or in case of heat could melt.
Better off looking for something like this.

Does that come with a cover under it? Or are the lights exposed like the picture?
Do they get hot? and can I avoid lighting the MH until I do corals..is it a separate switch?
oh, and one more thing..do I have to add moonlights then..
Thanks much!!

No covers. MH bulbs will be on seperate ballast and can be fired seperatly. VHO has seperate ballast as well.

I guess I'll keep searching. I prefer something with covers and will all the lights included..like moonlights.
This is getting to be a pain now. Maybe I should just buy basic lighting and stick to FOWLR tank for now. I can always sell the basic lights and upgrade should I decide. I think it is better than trying to figure out what to get for the future.

Orbit makes a model with moons, pc's, and halides all in one fixture. It's called the Outer Orbit. Kinda pricey though.
