what is the difference between a black tang and scopas if their color is similar?
Like what give it away? The stripes? color? something like that.

This is a Scopas Tang. A black tang is completely black with some gray in the front and are usually rare and expensive. A Scopas tang has a more yellow/white front.

The second pic of the scopus, if it is in your tank Life~Reefer, is a very healthy specimen of a scopus. very nice
truly an under appreciated tang. IMO, like the yellow eye tang, the scopus may not be remarkable from a distance, but close up, the detail is really nice. They are a fish to admire in detail.
IMO, a black tang is only of interest to another tank owner who realizes the expense. Kind of like comparing the expensive conspiculatus angel versus a grey poma angel. Or a helfrichi firefish.
I worked in an aquarium and would go listen behind the crowds. Without a doubt they would fawn over the $10 bicolor pseudo compared to the $$ helfrichi.
So in deciding between a scopas and black...it depends on the audience looking at the tank. We had a black tang. Cool but after awhile, just a black fish.

LFS told me it was a hybrid black scopas Tang. So what does the word Hybrid mean in saltwater fish? a different breed? morphing?

Hybrid means cross breeding. I bought a scopas that the LFS insisted was an angel. I told him time and time again that it was not. I pointed out the scalpal and the face difference. He acted like I was dumb, like his other customers that insisted it was a tang...Which it is. He charged me $19.95 for it.....um alrighty

Being a hybrid, would it have a pro or con? Meaning, it will be more imune to disease, or color blind, or it can walk on water. These are only example.

Its actually a Scopas x Black hybrid. Though the hybrid does not command Black prices. Much cheaper actually, as they are often sold as regular Scopas. So if you paid scopas prices, you did good.

It is not any more or less immune to disease. It is just a cross breed between tangs. It is a close breed though, kind of like a Jack Russel breed with a Parson's Russel. Slightly noticible differences but the same in every other way.

I couldn't agree more. I watched a Scopus at my LFS that they couldn't sell for about 2 months and finally made them an offer on it. Since they couldn't sell it they took me up on it and I got the Scopus for a great price. I loved the coloring of it while it was at the store and still love it today.
