Is this anenome dyed ?

just bought this sebae anenome from LFS that I trust, but after reading some of these posts on anenomes, it seems that this one has been dyed. Has it ? thanks

I dont think its been dyed, looks more like its bleached. Still looks like it can recover under proper lighting, ect. to me.

Not enough light will make it white/bleached out..most of mine where completely white when I got them, he should recover with the proper lighting and tank conditions. Hope this helps.

Bleaching results when the symbiotic photosynthetic zooxanthellae (seperate single-celled algae) are released or die from inside the anemone due to stress such as not enough proper lighting. The anemone depends on the zooxanthellae that live inside their tissues. The photosynthetic activity of the zooxanthellae produces a by-product of nutiants that the anemone needs to survive and remain healthy. When the zooxantheallae are expelled, the anemone loses its normal color, leading to a bleached or completely white appearance.
