Is this big enough for a eel

I am wanting to turn my ten gallon tank into a eel tank. I am wanting a very small snowflake eel and I was wanting to put just a little live rock in the tank with him. Do you think I can make this work if I get a small eel and later upgrade to a bigger tank. I am not going to add any fish or anything else to the tank. What kind of filter and lights should I put on the tank??????

I have been told repeatively that a puffer alone won't work in a 29 gallon tank.... But that's their oppinion. So I am going to but a snowflake with a puffer(maby a green spotted puffer) in a 29 gallon tak. ANy suggestions of what fish to put instead of the puffer???

You could keep a green spot puffer in a 29 gal mabey even 2 green spots their not that big and dont grow real fast but your bioload is gonna be heavy on them so your filtration better be oversized. Also dont add anything else to the tank

I have a 14" snowflake and a porky puffer in a 55 gallon and believe me it's constant work..I have to do a 10-20% water change EVERY week just to keep my levels ok; I also have a blue star who cannot tolerate high nitrates..I suggest a bigger tank or maybe some perculas..good luck..

Why don't you put a polka dot grouper in that tank with the eel. Then they can both be miserable and it will be a race to see which one will croak first.
Sammy,
Don't even waste your breath on this guy. He has absolutely no intention of doing anything. Personally I think he's a troll
and should be ignored. He gives the word "newbie" a bad name. IMO, JMHO
