and what corals can i keep under this lights ? im in the way to upgrade is going to be 2 175 mh lights 10000k and 4 t5 actinic the tank is a 4ft L 18 inch W 21 inch deep , is this a good set up for lights oh the t5 lights are 54w each thanks for your help .:help: :help:

Well, as long as you're spending the money why don't you upgrade the 175's to 250's? This will be enough light to keep most things thriving and happy. If you decide to go with the 175's I would say keep sps and clams with caution, and closer to the top of the tank.

how much hotter does the 250 watt mh get do they get more than 175 or the same

I don't know how much hotter they get but my 3 250w mh raise the temp in my tank three degree in 6 hrs. my tank is 180 gallons. HTH

No chiller yet. Tank has only been set up for 4 months. House is 69 and tank is 73.5 in the morning and 76 when lights go out. I will see what it goes to in the summer. Then I might need a chiller. Diffenitly it will be a DIY, I don't have 700 dollars.

i dont have 700 dls my self thats why i want to get some lights that dont need a chiller , my sump is the basemant so that might help a little is always cooler in the basemant ,thanks for the help
