Thanks! I have had this guy for a year now and it has split many times. I have just never seen the bubbles before! I was worried that it had grown too close to someone nearby and a war was errupting!!!

No problem. That is a zoantind colony. I am not sure why it is closed up as it is open today.

Your hammer will send out feeler (sweepers) tentacles and I think Shinobi was concerned that your hammer may be touching (stinging) the nearby colony. May explain their closure.
