Is this normal with Damsels?

For the past week, when I turn on the lights in the morning, one of my Damsels is floating on the top of tank. The first time it happened, I thought he/she was dead. When I went to scoop him up, he started swimming around. Ever since then, I notice that every morning he is at the top of the tank.
When I feed them, he wakes up and starts eating.
Is this normal?
Please let me know,
Marguerite:)

My two perc clowns swim sideways at the surface of the tank while sleeping at night. After I turn the lights on it takes them a few minutes to wake up. They have always done this. It's normal, don't worry about it.

mrnagel - what else is in the tank? Are there places for them to hide? Mine definately have a sleeping place, posture and color. If the other damel(s) are picking on him, maybe that's the only place for him to sleep if everyone else has a territory.

I have a total of 6 Damsels. This particular Damsel hangs out in a coral on that side, there is another damsels that hangs out there too, but they seem to share it. I have a big rock that two of my damscels have claimed and I have another coral that 2 of my other damsels have claimed.
When I turn on the lights or put food out, he starts moving around and is eating.
None of my other Damsels are acting this way. I have to check to make sure none of the other fish are picking on him.
Thanks,
Marguerite:)
