hey MPLS...if your tank is low on demand for calcium, it could very well stay that way for a while i would think.
IO is low on calcium to begin with, and I have learne dover the last few weeks that I need to dose it occasionally thanks to Bang guy. All of my parameters are perfect, and I noticed that my calc has remained stable with little additive now. I do not have any hard coral so i just assumed it is from low demand.

Calc should be anywhere in between 400 and 500... I like to keep mine between 420 and 450... so to me... your OK

I have posted this question before, because my cal never drops below 450 either. I do not have alot of stonies so consumption is very, very slow. My 55 was set up over 6yrs ago, with no stonies and cal. never went under 450.
180 has stonies, only a cpl - set up in Nov, and cal is steady at 450.

I Have Been Using Io For My Water Changes Since I Started My Reef. (sept '04). My Cal Level Has Stayed At 450 Since The Begining Testing It Every Week Or So. Just Recently I Skipped A Week Of Testing And My Cal Level Dropped To 350. I Started Using Some Kalk With My Water Changes And Now Slowly It Is Back Up To 450.
