OK, I thought I knew what I was doing and everyday you guys say something that makes me go huh? Could someone explain the lr phenomenon to me? When is rock cured? I saw a site that tells you how to cure cement? What's that? I am assuming curing is when "things" start growing?

Live rock is cured and uncrued by the amount of time is is out of the water. You have die off on rock that has been taken out of the water and if you get uncured rock that means you need to clean the dead stuff off or put it in a tank so it can cure or regrow. If you are setting up a new tank you can use uncured to start your cycle. Good luck on the damsels they are fast.

Could someone go over the types of LR? I know about Fiji, some of that tube looking stuff, don't remember the name.
Could you name them and tell what they are usually good for?
Thanks

you can put it in the tank, If you have fish alredy just add a little at a time or put it in a rubermaid and use some type of filter. A skimmer would be best

def take out the damsels. then throw your rock in and after your tank spikes and levils back out your lr is good I doubt your tank will cycle before your lr cures
pods are great for a tank some people have fuges for the sole purpes of pods

thats it the shrimp sink to the bottom. Br is not dr dr is just that, dead. br is lr with very little live thinngs on it, most people use it as a base and place lr on top of it for looks. Br dose not filter the water as good as lr but it is much cheaper. some people add 50% lr and50% br and after time the br tuns into lr. But that may take a year or so.

Combine the original post with this one.
I tested this product before they made it available to the public. I'm not going to rewrite what the conclusions of our test were here.
