Is This Torture?

Hey y'all!!! Ok, to the subject!!! We were talkin 'bout this in Early American History for the past couple of days. Do you think this is torture? We put a terrorist in a cold room and played The Red Hot Chili Peppers really loud so we could get information of him to save lives. Now some idiot is tryin to pass a Bill where we can't do anything to get information out of people like this!!!!!!!!!!!!! That just makes me mad. I'm actually kinda scared if this bill passes because what's next? If it does passes all we can ask is...Do you have any information to give us? Of course the person will say no!!! What is it with uneducated people?! Ok, people in the Middle East have a different way of torture...cutting off fingers, heads, arms, feet, etc. So what is puttin someone in a cold room called? Uncomfortable in my opinion. I'm sure Osama and other terrorists are laughing right now because they some Americans think that's torture. Anyway, just wanted to let all that out and wanted to see if y'all thought it is torture to do that to a person.

thats a method used by police and detectives, they will put someone in a cold room for hours, sometimes even days, and sometimes even a little beating...now the military is a different story...we dont get to see it on the news or read about it, but when they need information they would break limbs, no food, cold room with a sprinker on them for weeks...or even a "hot box" leave them in an outhouse type box, locked up for a week sweating with no food...it gets worse...even hungupside down, tied up, blind folded...the bill wont pass...this is a method USA has been doing for a LONG time, some of our tatics came from the Nazi's during WWII...the method that wont be tolerated, maybe you remember when the military made them do sexual and explicit acts to each other. all commanding officers were dishonerably discharged.

If it was torture Al Queda would use it when they kidnap someone.... This, at worst, should be considered "annoying".

I sure hope the government never suspects me of knowing anything about what ever they might think I know....I dont even like it when the guy next door plays his music loud....I guess ill tell them it was him so they will go stick the water hose down his throat and let me sleep...

I'd bring my iPod if I had to work in a cubicle.
Luckily at both of my jobs, they play wonderful music.
I got down to "Funkytown" yesterday! :jumping:

Me personally, I could not care less what the C.I.A does to any foreigner. If the C.I.A has you in custody then you must have did something or belong to something of interest or been talking something bad. All these bleeding hearts who think that everyone should have rights should go to Iraq and these other countries and preach that garbage and watch how fast your head gets split like a melon.
If the members of the C.I.A wanted to knock out each tooth out of a terrorist mouth or a perspective terrorist with a tack hammer I wouldn’t care, if they wanted to use a potato peeler on each finger I could not care or if they wanted to melt Vaseline and smear it on the terrorist private parts, I could not be bothered to get upset or stack them up in a pyramid or put collars and leashes on them, not a problem. Jam in adamant objects up certain orifices, good for them, they can do that dry with out a lubricant not a problem. In fact I would pay for pay-per-view to see most of these being done.
This country has lost the grapefruits to stand up and say loud and clear, if you F*&K with us we will make you wish you thought about it better. Back in the day when not every mother f&^K-en person had to get involved in stupid, insane, to weaken a country cause, we did not have these problems. BUT NO “were better then they are, lets show the world how better we are” . WRONG we are a self righteous bunch idiots. We have become so complacent about life in general and so worried about our instant gratification, we forgot the men who willingly went and fought for this country. We deserve to bow down to Alah or what ever his name is.
Look, you live in America, the U.S.A not Spain, Italy, Baghdad, Turkey, Mexico we talk English, not the FOREIGN language you speak. I don’t care if you want to speak you language, that’s fine but don’t get bent on me because I can’t understand you when you destroy the English language.
Also some people really have the balls to protest because of illegal being treated a certain way. Holly crap, I can remember my grand father tell me about the time when his family came to America from Italy. You know what they did what they had to do to become citizens, not cry and pout and march around screaming “we want our rights”. If you illegally in the US if have no F*&KING rights, you need to earn them. To earn them is to go before the board and study to be US citizen, not an alien.
So to answer the question, no its not torture. Some stuff the government has to do to protect this country is NONE OF OUR F-ING BUSINESS.

As an American, growing up, I understood what it meant to be an American....I understand how some may not understand this as I do or wish to uphold those same princibles....But I would rather die as an Amirican than to become like a terrorist.

i agree 110% with Kermit up there. whatever it takes. ESPECIALLY considering the fact that these people have such strong & zealous wills towards not caving in. let me be the torturer. i'll have em coughin up every secret they know in a heartbeat regardless of how many virgins are waitin on the other side.
(speaking of that, who the hell would want a bunch of virgins for a reward anyways? i don't think they quite thought this through when they were making the whole bonus system. what is it? 50 virgins? do you know how frustrated you'd be after having to deal w/ them??")

Yeah, except for the fact that people will say anything to get out of torture. How many stories have you heard about cops, not even CIA grilling people for hours without access to food, lawyers, bathrooms, etc and getting a confession that is completely made up? The government has admitted half the false info about Iraq WMD's was aquired this way and wasn't even true. While it may be effective for people that know of terrorist plots you can't just say torture everyone to find the 1 in 100 that are doing wrong. They have released 70% of the detainees captured from Afghanistan with no convictions, not even an apology. The amount of people convicted of terrorist crimes has went right back down to pre 9/11 numbers so it doesn't look like we're doing any good anyways.
PS. I don't however think listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers is torture, in fact I need to buy their two? newest cds. Dani California and what's the other one?
