Yep, crazy to think about. I know he wouldn't have been on Southpark again but knowing he's dead kind of sucks.

It was a bit of surprise, when I heard that. Shame his feud with South Park revealed a lot about his true character though.

Sad story... Most people (young)know him from South Park... but he also had a great music career...

I believe the feud had to do with mockery of religion ... Can't be mad at that.

Absolutely you can. He had no problems bashing any of the other religions, the 100x they bashed Jews or Catholics, but the one episode about Scientology, was the line for Hayes because he was a scentologist? Please.

I don't watch SouthPark especially for that reason... I think its highly insensitive.. Not sure when he said something, or what details where, but it gets ridicolous... especially since kids watch it...

South Park has a MA rating, the highest adult rating for TV which highly suggests kids don't watch it. If they do, it's not the show's fault.
Anyway about Hayes, he had worked on the show for over 10 years, and done over 150 episodes of South Park, which made fun of Christians, Muslims, Mormons and Jews. But suddenly got a case of religious sensitivity when his religion was showcased. Which by the way, the actual episode, "Trapped in the Closet" was about the most tame show yet.

What South Park does, is really IMO, no different then what 99% of comedians do today. They simply make fun of every type of person. Though it's usually just race, and not religion.

he should have just sucked it up and let it blow over rather than quit.
just another example on how one should never let religion run your life.
what i found interesting is that when they found him the treadmill was still running.
looks to me like a heart attack, or stroke or something.

Our incredibly classless radio talkshow guys, whos name I don't even know, had a discussion on, famous african americans deaths coming in threes, and they named who they thought was next, then opened the lines for listeners to cast their votes.

They said, "we don't want it to be an old guy, that would throw a wrench in things, we need another spur of the moment type death to keep it interesting"
Needless to say, I have yet to find a talkshow I like down here...
I miss Ace and TJ SO MUCH!!

Well now he can fly away in a spaceship... in his true alien form.... hahahahaha.
Yeah, quitting SP over the scientology thing was gay. It was inevitable though. That religion has complete control over its members. I'm sure it was part of his church that influenced his decision, not necessarily his own decision. They are some real sketchy people. VERY controlling.
