I don't know where this information comes from, but I personally think it is wrong. I've read this from numerous sources, if it is true tell all the inverts, corals and LR in my tank that they are not only thriving and multiplying but rather they are dead. I don't think they will believe you though.

well unless you have very thoroughly cleaned it out, i assure you there is still trace amounts of copper in your tank. although it might not be enough to kill all of your inverts (and when i said you can never house inverts again , might have been a bit of a stretch), it is still there, and not helping your situation any.

If there are trace amounts leaching into the water, eventually it has to be removed through water changes. It's not a renewing supply of copper.
