issues with Mineral mud

I know alot of people hate this stuff, but I have a buddy that gave it to me, and I thought what the heck... I didnt pay anything for it.
The question is, once I turned on my refigium, the entire main tank got clowdy. Is this normal, and if not, how do I fix it? the tank is almost cycle'd, and kinda worried.

I am not sure how you entered it in your refugium but you usually let it settle before you turn on your pump and it may get a bit cloudy but it will filter out through p.skimming and filter floss. I personally set all reef tanks up with mineral mud in the refugiums and never have had issues.

I use it as well no issues here. You need to let it settle for I thing 2-3 days then cap it off with other sand and it will not make your tank cloudy.

i use it in my fuge too. the 1st hour, it will get cloudy. but will settle and clear up in a day or two.

I love it... i let it settle 1 day before I added it to my system via my fuge..
