Yes, but not yet. I'm waiting for my dad to come home from the hospital later on today.
More updates....
JBJ is sending us out a whole new hood and ballast.
We are considering upgrading to a Maxi-jet 1200. What are some of your thoughts on this? Lion_crazz recommended we switch it out right away.

i like the maxi jets but you might want to get a way to disperse the flow. just an idea.

The one we want has a 'Y' head with dual flow nozzles attached to better disperse the water flow.
Anyone has this one? Comments............

We're going to the LFS right now to buy more live sand to replace the CC that we will take out today. After we add more sand I'm going to re-arrange the rocks again.
Updated pics will follow.
If we take out 10lbs of CC, will 20lbs of LS be too much to replace it with?

if you can, try to remember how the rockwork looked. just purley becasue that aquascape was awsome. and the 20lbs for 10lbs sounds good.
try to post pics when you are done.

Whew!
Scoop and sift, scoop and sift, scoop and sift............
why did I ever use CC?!!
A few hours later, we are done.
We got out about 98% of the Crushed Coral and added about 15lbs of Fiji pink live sand. We can get the last few bits as they rise to the surface over the next few weeks.
The tank needs to settle, but I put the rockwork back in. I'll post some more pictures tomorrow morning or later on tonight after we watch 'The DaVinci Code'.
This is the sand we used......

Here's a picture of the rocks in their temporary arrangement. (sorry about the flash)
I liked them better before, so I'll probably be doing some more aquascaping tonight.

Reef, eventually, very slowly. We'll probably start with some of the easier fish and inverts and eventually work our way up to a mushroom. Still researching and changing our minds on a daily basis.
We have a list...when I whittle it down some more, I'll post it.

OK,
I did some testing this morning. I believe my levels are.......
1.022 SG
7.8 pH
0 Nitrite
0 Nitrate
0 Ammonia
What should I do now? The test kit recommends that I add Proper pH 8.2 to the tank.
What else should I test for? What did I hear about throwing in a dead shrimp?? When can I start adding some crabs and snails???
HELP!

OK,
No one replied so I had to go to the LFS and ask them. They told me to put a few hermits and grass shrimp in the tank to get the cycle going. They gave me 10 hermits (1/4"- 1/2") for $3.99 and $1.00 worth of grass shrimp.
Also, I re-arranged the rock again. Here it is, as always any comments and suggestions are appreciated

I like your rocks! I spent many hours last Sat. re-acquascaping mine, too. I added my last 2 rocks so now I have 26 lbs with 40 lbs of live sand. I have the same brand you used but I chose the West Carribean Reef. Mine is a 29g biocube and has been going since May 1st. I have 3 hermits, 1 peppermint, 1 emerald, 50+ ilyanassa snails, 3 coral frags and I just added my first fish yesterday, a lawnmower blenny. He is so cute and what a personality! Here's a picture:

hey lookin good. has your tank cycled? i wasnt sure. if it hasnt cycled yet you might not have wanted to put in the inverts. and any partifular reason why you chose grass shrimp? lol not that they are bad but its an odd choice lol
