No one here has room really to jump down anybody's throat about putting Tangs in any kind of tank. Sure they will do better in a larger tank. But after all, every one of us here have taken fish from a vast wide open ocean and crammed them into a confined space for nothing more than our own enjoyment. If the happiness of the fish has risen to a concern of this magnitude, then why do we pull them from their homes to begin with. Even if you have a 200,000 gallon tank, you cannot even begin to compare the difference of a tank and their natural reef. I love fish as all of us here do, and will continue to keep them. But whether new at the hobby or very experienced; no one has room to slam anyone.
Just my opinion.

By the way, my 38" Blue Pacific is doing just fine. He has all that freedom. I just wish you could see the way he darts around that tank. So many places to hide (I know they like caves, so I built him plenty). I couldn't ask for a happier fish.

Ammonia 0
Ammonia 3.7 (after he craps)
Steady Nitrites
High Nitrates - change about 20% of the water weekly (about 3 gallons due to water displacement caused by the fish)
But other than that, we're just one big happy family.
:D :D :D :D :D

Beattyr,
I am fairly new to this board myself but I would like to apologize for all the jacka$%#$'s on the board who would rather insult than help. Ive seen it time and time again and it is simply a real shame.
It is much easier to understand when someone explains something rather than tell you your an idiot if you do this. Remember, people are people and no matter where you go there will always be some jerks so forget them and listen to the people that genuinely want to help. And one more thing.
You better post a pic of the clam when you get it?
