Well I got a condy anemone and he was small in the tank when I purchased him but when I put him in my tank he was huge! He snuggled in a nice spot and stayed there during the day but when my powerhead went off when my daylights went off he liked to cruise around. (I should have known this du)
So he got stuck in my powerhead 3 times. Bounced back heathly as ever but to risky for my corals and equipment so I have to take him back and decide to ban anemones from my tank.

Yep, cover them.
My anemone tried three times to commit sushi. He bounced back because I caught it in time to turn off the power and let it work itself out of the grill.
It finally got comfortable and stays put. True I watch for fear it might start wandering, but it has been in place for a year now, and it is very happy and healthy.
I use koralia power heads so the regular covers wouldn't work.
I went to the home depot and got filters for a koi pond. Cut them in half and kind of sewed them together with clear fishing line. These filters are coarse and it was easy. They pull right off the power head so I can rinse them without a problem.
I added a picture. It is not the best but I think you can get the idea. Hope this will help!

Hey thats a good idea!
Problem is that he moves around every day because my flow changes. My Koralia #4 shuts off and turns back on so that is a big flow change. I just dont want to risk other corals getting stung.

Mine has long tentacles. The very tips touch the coral sometimes but they don't seem to mind.
The feather duster got gunked up once when I first moved to the new place and put it into the tank, the anemone (it's traveling days) wraped itself into it, but it shed it's "head" and grew another. It has been 8 months and they are both fine.
It got a copperbaned butterfly
but no coral to date.
Oh yeh almost forgot. It is in so tight that I can't even pull it out. I rearranged my rock around it. Changed the power head flow twice. It hasn't moved. When I say it is happy I ain't kidding LOL

Just curious...Why do you shut your powerheads on and off?
