I could live like that

In the SE corner of OK I am in....we get very little snow, but it actually gets cold
Not like NY though...I do NOT miss that weather
I told my husband we need to go south...and my pick is FLORIDA

Hot and humid gets old pretty fast! It is nice to be here when it is in the low 70s, but that just doesn't seem to come this year.

It's freezing cold here too, I don't even think we got up to 60 today, it sucks. Looks like Winter has set here in the Desert. I hate this crappy cold weather. We only had 150 golfers at my golf course today and our first frost delay of the season, we should have had 152, but 2 canceled because it was so damn cold....I don't blame them, I don't like to play when it's this cold either. Where is the smiley/shivering guy.

Smartass...

It's been staying down in the 56-60F range here as well. It was 80 here on Thanksgiving. Why does it have to get so cold, so early? This is late December, early January weather. I am up on the computer at this late hour because of the pain and stiffness in my back from being in the cold today. If I win the lottery, I'm moving further south. Puerto Rico is about right.

We have a puppy that hasn't seen snow yet...I can't wait, as she is NUTS any other time, can only imagine how much fun she is when there is snow on the ground (assuming that we get some here in tropical Canton, Ohio).
I used to have an english bulldog that would catch snowballs in his mouth and eat them...it was hilarious, he would sit there and stare at you until you threw him a few...jump straight up and catch them (or miss them and then look all around for them).

It was 9 degrees this morning here in New Mexico....I live in the desert for god's sake...........

You moved to a desert at what, like 5,500 ft above sea level. What are the Sandias at, about 10,000 ft? There is a reason there is a ski resort at the top. I used to live down south near Las Cruces. I remember the year I-10 shut down due to ice. They shut it down from the Arizona border to Las Cruces. I think it was in '97'.

my in-laws have 2 Newf's...they are FREAKING HUGE!!! They live in a house that is like 900 sq. ft. and have these beasts (they are their 3rd and 4th respectively....bought brothers this time).
and...for the record, our "dusting" of snow is now gone.

this is what my little "beast" looks like, a shetland sheepdog named Maggie (and her "brother", a shih tzu named Jakob Marley). The picture was taken at Bow Wow Beach Dog Park in Stow, Ohio (a neat place to let the pups play)
