I picked up a new piece of lr today and was putting it in the tank when I was accosted and cleaned by the shrimp I bought yesterday. He's a cute little baby and apparently very friendly, hopefully the chromis warms up to him. I kind of figured the shrimp would shy away when I put my hand in but guess not.

My cleaner shrimp is the same way. If I put hold a piece of frozen prime reef in the water to thaw it a bit, he will jump right into my fingers and start digging in!

Cleaner shrimp are very friendly creatures, mine does the same thing, to the point where it gets annoying sometimes.

My cleaner shrimp would always clean me and my friends too. But he is in the great ocean of heaven now (he molted then tangled in my anemone).

I live in a residence hall and it is always a bit of a joke with my floor where I ask them if they want to stick their hand in my fish tank and have my cleaner shrimp clean it for them. Most of them describe the shrimp as "creepy" and 95% of them refuse to, though I have had a couple takers recently. Needless to say, they withdrew their hand in seconds. I find it highly amusing, especially when I think they're such cute creatures and having your hand cleaned by them is by no means an unpleasant experience.

I agree. I love my cleaner shrimp. Lots of personality. My fire shrimp tries to clean my hand, but he love to pinch too hard so I have to shoo him or her away.
