Ive seen the best fish ever

I went to the fish store yesterday night to pick up some grub for my little friends and i just happend to see a fish that caught my eye. And i looked over and it was the most radient, gracefull, most interesting fish to watch. I stood infront of this little 10g tank looking at this fish for 15min at least. And what was it you asked well it was a BAT FISH. Ive never seen one in person just in pics on the internet. and i must say those fish are the most interesting fish two watch ever. The only pad part was you can tell the fish was allready sick it was allready looseing color and was swimming weird
. But for 70 bucks i actually considered changeing my 225g into a species only tank.
I must add that if you have never seen one of these fish you must see one in person.
whats your favorite fish? and why?

Well my favorite all time fish is shark, any kind of shark. Why shark you ask? Well ever since i was little i loved sharks LOL. But the fish that got me into this hobby was a eel i saw at the lfs one day.

eels are awsome. I remember when i first saw one in person my too. My cousin had one about 6 years ago In a Hex tank with a lion fish. I remember looking at it in the most awe for hours.

i love moorish idols! They're so graceful, and almost cartoon-like, the way they're colored. I could scooba dive in a group of idols forever!!! They're absolutely breath-taking!!! Too bad they're not that hardy, or i'd have a 300 tank with 5 idols in a heartbeat!!!
I also love false clownfish!!! That's cause of finding nemo, but they're also cartoon-like. For some reason i like fish that look like they should be fake, or drawn.
I also love seahorses... my hubby's stepsister actually asked me "is there really such thing as seahorses"... from a girl with a college degree... lol!!!

Thats funny "sea horses" na really...life size....
Moorish are cool a LFS by me allways have 6 or 7 of them at a time. at least they atempt to do the right thing and put them in a 200g even if there are only one. into the huge tank they go.
Not like my trip to see the Bat fish. shuved into a small tank it makes me angry.

poor little thing.
I like batfish too, but never have seen one in real life. The LFS's around me aren't competent enought to keep a batfish...

who said anything about keep..I think thats where LFS go wrong is there not looking into a long term setup for these animals. They think oh he wont be in there long. someone will come and pay 100bucks for a fish thats loosing color and is in a 10g tank, and not eating.

yep! poor fish! That's the problem, is they assume the fish will be ok in a 10g tank for a week, but it won't! My LFS, however, wouldn't be able to keep a batfish for more than a day... that's what i meant. They're completely incompetent... the guy once told me a leather toadstool was a mushroom.... ugh!!! My LFS is just full of stupidity!!!

Thats funny. i expecially like the looks on there faces when you correct them. they look at you like hugh..what do you mean i work here not you. and this is what i do. well your an idiot and need to pick up a book
. I guess bashing the competence level isnt the best plan but for a good reaction its the best way to go.
one question though has your ***** ever told you that the employees dont have authority to do anything to the tanks. But add fish. and clean sand. (and i even wounder if that happends)

no... i used to like my *****, we had a really experienced guy there, but he moved to the ***** 3 cities away from me, and with gas the way it is, i'm not going to drive there...
my ***** is starting it irk me lately, though... i've always be a ***** supporter, but i don't know anymore... i went there the other day, and these two juvenile koran angels had ich all over them. When i asked about it, the girl said "yeah, they came like that, apparently it's some kind of fungus"... i couldn't believe my ears!!! And then a few days later, i went back to see the seahorses they had there, and they were in a different tank. When i asked why they were moved, the guy said "i have no idea, and i don't know why they were put in that tank, because that tank has popeye"... AHHHHHHH :scared::scared::scared: I just wanted to buy them because i felt bad, but i knew it was a bad idea... I wove my wittle seahorse babies!!!

the coolest fish that are easy to keep are Hippo Tangs. they will do flips and gymnastics in your tank once they get settled in. then they'll cram themselves between rocks or just lay down on the sand to take a nap. a bat fish has nothing at all on a hippo tang, imo.
