Heres a pic I took today. The oolite sand that you put in your tank was it live sand or dry when you got it? The live stuff should not of made your tank that cloudy
Generally you should rinse the dry stuff before you use it to remove some of the "dust". The live stuff is pre rinsed for ya already.

For arag-alive it seemed pretty dusty but I guess you used the super fine oolite. I'm not worried about a cycle as I have had the rock for over 2 years and the last tank had a much higher bio load so it can process any amounts of ammonia/nitrite that shows up, plus the sand is already live, and I ran the whole tank/sump for 2 days with fresh water and stress coat to flush and condition it. Use RO/DI water with Ultimate as a conditioner on entail fill. Ultimate claims you can add fish right to a brand new tank hours after setting up by using it but I would never do that. Just got some crabs, snails, blue hippo tang, 2 cleaner shrimp, 2 shaving brush plants and a silver branch pumping xenia frag- which seems to be getting bigger everyday already
(gonna be fragging that soon I can tell) and some yellow polyps. I test the water daily for PH, (8.4) ALK (10dkh) and nitrate (< 1)
gave you some tips in your other thread (brown sand) about the plumbing if you haven't checked it yet.
