Jaw Fish

Hey all
I have a Jaw fish that I have had for about 4 months! He made a home and lived in it never moved around... THe last two weeks he has been out and moved his home and was at the bottom by the glass breathing weird and just layed there... He then moved into a new home and was there for a few days, it has been about 1 week and I have not seen him at all usally he comes out to eat, but nothing!!! The water has not changed at all

ohh also I have not changed anything in tank, and have not added anything new... I have 1 lawnmower blenny 4 pers,some herit crabs, a choc chip star and a cleaner shrimp!!!!

I think your substrate is sand and c.c right??? much more sand than c.c. I don't think a jawfish can make a really sable hole with sand? I have about a 3 or 4 inch c.c. bed and it took my jawfish about a month to make a good hole that would not collapse on him...if he is moving around a lot then he may not be able to get a good home... if he is acting sick quarantine him and treat him...

He was in the one home for about 3 months, and it was under a big rock... I dont think that is the problem, I would get him out but I dont see him anywhere and I dont want to lift the rock, because it will disturb too mayn things... I was wondering if they hibernate or anything like that for a while? Or if I should just thin of him as gone!
