Does anyone know the exact type of jawfish that was so kindly provided for my avatar?
If so, is it commercially available? Where, how much? Any special details to know of before purchase?
Thanks
Ray

I believe that is a yellowhead jawfish. I've seen them available at online vendors for around $18

they need a 5-7 inch DSB with a variety of building materials (some crushed coral, rubble rock, etc.) to help build their tunnel.
They are leapers and they can be bought in mated pairs (not sureo nt he breeding)

Yellowhead/Pearly. A very hardy Carribean/Tropical Atlantic fish. They will construct burrows, so offer sands of various sizes to construct the best burrows. The deeper the sandbed, the better, but they will also construct their homes under rocks if the sandbed isn't to their liking. Feed meaty foods. A pair will readily breed in captivity.

I had thought that it was a pearly, but, the blue tail through me off. I have seen these guys a thousand times, but no blue tails. Sigh.
Thanks for the assist.
