jbj 24g nano problems

I've had a jbj 24g nano set up since July 06 and have sent back 3 hoods and a ballast. And they have charged my LFS shipping both ways each time which I feel badly about. Am I doing something wrong or is this a common problem with JBJ? Could it be something to do with my electrical outlet? It's a 4 socket outlet, but none of the other items using the outlets have problems...

i had a problem with my ballast just a few weeks ago. i just bought a new light fixture that was even better than the jbj hoods. only problem is that the thing gets pretty hot and the fans are loud. its a coralife 20in 4 tube lamp fixture 96 watts

interesting... I've borrowed a hood from my lfs until the new hood is returned. The lights are better than the jbj hood, and I've noticed that my critters are even happier than before (and they've always been pretty perky). And no problems with the internal ballast as opposed to the jbj setup with the external. May consider a change if the new one blows again - thanks for your suggestion.

Are you useing a surg protector i had the same ting but i got one of those things u can plug like 5 cords in ad problem solved
