JBJ 28G Nano Skimmer Help

I just received my skimmer as listed above.....NO INSTRUCTIONS......putting it together and in the tank was easy tough
BUT.....I would like to know from people who use them how far in the chamber do you keep the skimmer? Is that how you adjust the water level in the cup? What about the dial on the pump......what do you keep it set on???

I ran that skimmer for a little while just to see how it worked, but while it worked "fair", it never thrilled me, and was in the way whenever I opened the lid on the tank, so I tossed it out.
Yes, you adjust the physical height of the skimmer to adjust the water level. I simply ran the air on the skimmer full out so I'd get the maximum amount of air mixing with the water as IME the skimmer never worked well enuff to not run it full out.
