Jbj 28gl cf quad nano

Will be here Monday! The used 46gl tank I bought back in November has been up and running, but there are a few reasons for me to take it down and start the new 28.
I'll be using the existing live rock, live sand, and I have two orange/ white clowns, as well as two green chromis. A few dwarf hermits, and a few snails.
I won't have to worry about cycling, as I won't be adding anything new for awhile.
I absolutely cannot wait for this tank to get here and to get it all moved, up and running!
Having had a 24gl jbj nano a few years ago, and now having the larger tank, I've decided that I don't like an open top tank, evaporation at that speed is a pita! With my nano, I never had to top off every few days... So, that's my top reason for going back to the closed lid that the nanos have.
I lurk, I read, I try not to post much.
I find if I don't mess around with the tank too much it goes just fine. I still have no corals as of yet, people used to buy/sell/trade on this forum, but I can't seem to find the threads for those posts anymore. If anyone can link me to them, it would be much appreciated :) Ty
Mostly looking for zoas and hammer head.

Ty :) I'll check out your thread.
My 46 has been up and running since early November, it will be the first time I set up a tank and not have to deal with the long wait of a full cycle.
Does this forum still have an area where members buy/sell/trade?
Good luck with your sea horses :) I've always loved those little buggers ;)

They used to allow it. Maybe it took too much business away from swf.com, or caused a few headaches with people complaining and such.
I know I purchased some very nice corals and zoas from at least 5-8 members here. My tank looked pretty nice too.
With the cost of shipping and/or putting in a large enough order to defray the shipping charge, it will be a very long time before I can get my corals going again.... lfs has a few zoa's , but they look AWFUL! And their getting approximately 70 bucks for 5-6 polyps... Highway robbery for the most basic brown zoa's.
Unless...
Anyone would like to donate to my cause and send me a teeny frag of something... (but only if it's going wild in your tank and getting too big, causing a need to frag it... lol)
If I'm out of line... I'm really sorry...

Well, I think the way to do it is to go to local people who have frag tanks and support their hobby w/ their frags.
I can get almost anything I want for under $50.
like 6 heads of a blood clot chalice for $25
4 heads of purple death palys for $10
The only things I really can't get are gobbstopper zoos, and red and blue hornets.
I can get almost everything else.
We also have people at our local clubs who buy from wholesellers and sell fish and equipment cheap.
We NEVER go to the really LFS.
For example, I have been looking for 2 months for a yellow clown goby, went to every possible LFS to order some, never did.
A local guy posts on the local forums what fish he can get, and what he has.
He just happened to have 2 yellow clown goby's $8 each, I now finally have a fish for my pico, and the local is really cool and gives me great deals on every fish, tangs to wrasses.

I'm not sure how to find local people/clubs who have frags and fish ect... Eventually, I'll cave and order online. It's cool :)

basically you want to look for a MAS (marine aquarium society). in dallas we have DFWMAS and DMAS.
