I have had a JBJ for over a year. With the 150 wt HQI. Had to get a chiller, West Coast 1/15, works great. Cpr refugium with Tunze 9002 in refugium. Luckly I was able to do all this with no modifcations. One koralla 1, and koralla 2 more than enough movement. Mostly a Sps tank with clowns and fire fish.

haha YES nissan im back, i moved and wasnt able to take my tanks with me cause i had absolutely no time for them so i sold them, but now that im able to get back into it, i just found a good deal on a jbj 28 nanocube CF quad. ive been reading reviews on it and people are saying the stock pumps dont create enough flow and the wave maker only has 2 plugs, so was wondering if i could upgrade the pumps...tank should be here by the end of the week, i kept about 15lbs of live rock, well now dead but im gonna put that in there and buy 20 more lbs and hopefully have it in there this weekend and get it started cycling! i cant wait ive missed it so much!

So cherylann, pretty much the stock pumps arent enough to circulate? thats what i was asking pretty much. and your tank looks awesome!

So cherylann, pretty much the stock pumps arent enough to circulate? thats what i was asking pretty much. and your tank looks awesome!

ok heres where im confused, the one i got says its the new style jbj 28g nanocube, so do maxijets fit in the chambers, cuase from what ive read i guess its a pretty tight fit back there.......and nissan trust me its great to be back i cant wait to stock my tank up, there is a really good reef shop right around the corner from my house that always has nice frags for reasonable prices

i have the nano quad but replaced the hood with a 150w mh/t5 combo. nice tank and the dr's have a free stand. it comes with duel returns/wave maker. nice tank over all.

ya ill eventually upgrade, but i got the tank with the CF's and protein skimmer for 200 bucks so ill take it..have u upgraded the pumps in the returns at all, or do u find them to be efficient?

I have the JBJ 28 gal with HQI 150w MH. I bought it from a company (will send name if you want it, I think there is rules here about posting the competition) already mod'd. It has 150w MH with 28w CF and moon lights. I also have a Chiller and a wave machine to alternate the current. This isn't the greatest picture but here it is

i have not upgraded i think the stock pumps a 270gph x2 so i just bought a korila nano flow seems good. i dont have any coral yet as im still cyclein.

Dude, I just ordered the same tank, also from the doc's. What a freakin sweet deal!!!
I did have a question though... I have a LTA right now that is under my 150w mh... will he live under the 105 watts of CF's in this 28g?
