I think before I would lay down that kind of money for a JEBO which is not known for any quality, I would just buy a good Coralife Super skimmer. They are available at many online vendors and no need to go through a auction site and have to put up with wait and shipping etc etc .all the usual things associated with those sites ..........Ought to be able to buy a 125 for about a $100 and a 65 for much less.

There are TONS of ways to save money in this hobby, but IMO a protein skimmer is not one of them.
You get what you pay for. The ONLY exception I've ever seen to this is the Coralife Super, which is "decent for the dollars," but I wouldn't call it a "great" skimmer.... just a "decent" skimmer.
Better, more powerful skimmers using induction, downdraft, or beckett air shredding will pull far more waste out of your water, and all the benefits that this provides are worth the money... again, IMO.

I agree with SCSI...I thought my ss220 was good, and used to recommend them all of the time. That is before I got my etss downdraft. The massive amounts of air induced into the skimmer is amazaing, you could mod the ss220 for days and not get this amount of air. And we all know the more air and contact time with the air, the more skimming is going on.
Spend the money once and get a good one so you are not spending it again in 6 months because you finally realized you made a mistake.
I thought I made a mistake once, but I was wrong!
