I must admit Cowfish..I have pretty much given up on that as well..I even built a little gate that I laid over the discharge..It seemed to work for a little while.. But I finally took it off..It seems to be worse when feeding , to me..

benter,
what are the chances that you could find the same materials you used to mod your skimmer and send them to me?
i have checked around, but i cannot seem to find the best way to flip the power head.
the 90. elbows that i have found either fit one side or the other.

I will look around and see..but I don't think I will have anything. All I used was an old canister filters return tube and two pieces of flexible tubing to make sleeves, to connect them with.. You could probably do it with flexible tubing all the way as well..I will look aronud though and let you know..

benter, finally got my JEBO today, and after reading this thread again will look around for an elbow to mount mine as you did. I hate the micro bubbles though. Any way to stop that other than mounting a fuge? Here's my 55 at 3 weeks. Thanks, barry

benter, one more question. I don't see the airtube attached in your pic. Is it there or did you not put it on?

Barry..tank looks great!!..and yes you do still use the airline tubing..By the way, I also got rid of the funky little air adjuster/ valve , and got a decent little valve - the LFS. I just removed the sponge on the intake of the pump, too allow the pump to be mounted closer to the surface..Something else not to have to do maintenance on.. As for the micro bubbles, they kinda come and go. It seems to me they pop up more around when I'm feeding the fish or right after..It does get better with time it seems as well...

benter, thanks. I'm stilla little fuzzy on how high the water should be up the cup? Does that make sense.

Benter, if you look at my pic. again you can see where the water is in the cup(about 1/2") I got it up that high messing the valve. Ha!
