don't get it. these little fellas are rather dumb. they swim into all powerheads and anything that sucks something up.

They are very hard (if not impossible) to maintain in a reef tank so don't even try getting one. As mentioned, they WILL get sucked into pump/powerhead intakes and harm or kill everything else in the tank.

i agree with the above. they are a waste of money and will kill and eat all kinds of fish. They will also need a huge aquarium.
good thing you came here first!

there is one type of jellyifsh that is more like an anenome. It stays on the bottom. they can move, but once they pick a good spot, they'd stay there. If its the other type of jellyfish, free swimming ones, there is a company out there that makes a special tank designed for them. I forget the name of it, but I was talking to a guy at a LFS about it one day and he told me the name. Not sure if ur that into it, but they are kind of interesting!

Most of these jelly fish are no where near capable of eating fish, and must be fed a very specific diet of things like cyclopeeze or newly hatched brine shrimp.
But they can not go in typical tanks as mentioned, they belong in special tanks called Kreisel tanks which have no corners and very particular type of flow patterns.
The other jelly mentioned is called an upside down jellyfish or Cassiopea. I do not recommend them either as they are still subject to being sucked up by powerheads.
