Any idea what kind and how on earth it wound up in my aquarium?
I have no LR and have not made any recent purchases that it could have come along with. I've got two, maybe three of them in there now.

They are really neat to watch. I wish I knew more about how to care for them. I'm sure there are a ton of different types though.

Do you have any live sand? If so maybe there was eggs in the sand when bought and they hatched. Pretty cool though.

That's what kills me. No live sand (I have a crushed coral substrate) no live rock, nothing. The only thing I can think of was that I got some shells for my hermit crabs back in the middle of December. Perhaps something tagged along there.

Those are hydroid jellies. I had hundreds of them. They are hitchhikers on LR. As the tank matures some they will disappear but they can sting fish. They are mainy just an irritant.

what are you tank parameters? I'm curious just so if i want to create a jelly tank I know what you had yours at.
Thanks, good video!

Thank you.
My tank conditions aren't optimal so I'm not sure how hard I'd try to emulate them but here they are:
Temp: 78° F
Specific Gravity: 1.025
Ammonia: 0
pH: 7.8 (low)
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 10ppm (I'd like to see this lower)
I don't have the equipment to test for anything else.
