you dont want to add a tess to anything you dont want to concider food period ..they are not even concidered a species only fish they will eat their own kind they are concidered a solitary species to be housed alone no matter how large the tank is.as for as other eels go there are serveral species you can chose from.but do your rsearch prior to purchase some eels are just not fish freindly then there are many that are
